Contract Line Items Types

If you work with outside photographers or ad designers, individual contract line items can act as designated fees. For example, you could create a pre-set “Design Fee” to help assess the cost of something, or to show clients the true value of whatever package they are purchasing.  Just one more way you can customize MediaOS to your business!

Contract Line Items Settings

  1. Click your profile picture in the bottom left corner.
  2. Click System Settings. You’ll be redirected to a new page with three sections: System, Sales and Accounting.
  3. Under the “Sales” category, click the tab labeled Contract Line Items.
  4. Select the +Line Item Type button.
  5. Fill out the following fields:
    • Name: The name of the line item type. For example, if you are setting up a fee for custom photography you may name the line item type Photography Fee.
    • Type: Select between Discount or Fee.
    • GL Account Code: If you utilize general ledger account codes, enter this here. This is optional.

    • Alternative Payment Tracking: Turn this on if you are tracking for non-cash items such as barter or trade.

In the intricate web of business customization, the strategic use of contract line items emerges as a powerful tool. By delineating specific fees within individual contracts, such as the designated “Design Fee,” businesses gain not just clarity but also the ability to transparently showcase the value of their offerings to clients. This tailored approach within MediaOS empowers businesses to finely tune their services, ensuring that every aspect, every service, and every collaboration is accurately represented and fairly compensated.
